This 8.5x11" print is an original design of the artist, the first in her Floral Cryptid series. It is printed on soft BFK Rives paper using Cranfield Caligo Safe Wash ink.

The legend of the jackalope began when two brothers in Douglas, Wyoming grafted a set of antlers to a taxidermied rabbit and sold the creature to a local hotel, sparking rumors about more of the creatures roaming the plains of Wyoming. The florals shown are a variety of castilleja commonly called the paintbrush plant or prairie-fire, and are the state flower of Wyoming.

Each print is pressed by hand, which may result in small variations or imperfections from piece to piece. This is part of the handmade charm of the printmaking process, and makes each piece slightly unique!

This print will be shipped via the USPS in a stiff envelope inside of a plastic sleeve with cardboard backing for extra protection against bending & weather.
